The highlight of the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards was, without a doubt, Beyoncé’s jaw-dropping performance that featured several songs from her album Lemonade. Bey didn’t miss a beat, weaving through tracks like “Hold Up,” “Sorry,” and “Formation” with the athletic precision we’ve come to expect from her. In other words, she came to slay. And she delivered.

It took us a while to recover from Bey’s performance, but now that we’re sedated, we can break it down properly. These 10 moments particularly made Beyoncé’s VMAs set pure fire. Gaze upon them, and thank your lucky stars you’re living in the same era as a legend.
