Josh Duggar Lawsuit

Allegations that Josh Duggar assaulted a married mother of two young children is the latest in a long list of Duggar family scandals that may force TLC to cut ties with the 19 Kids and Counting family for good.

There are conflicting stories as to whether Josh is out of rehab, but wherever he is, he’s about to get served with a $ 500,000 lawsuit filed in a Philadelphia courthouse — a suit that claims he assaulted Ashley Stamm-Northup, a porn star who goes by the stage name of Danica Dillon.

According to court documents (link below) obtained by TMZ, Josh went to a gentleman’s club in March 2015 and paid $ 600 for Northup to perform several lap dances for him. The location of The Gold Club is redacted in the documents, but there is speculation that Josh visited the club’s Wilmington, DE location that night.

The lawsuit goes on to say that Josh Duggar followed the Northup back to her hotel room at a local DoubleTree Hotel where he offered her $ 1500 for “her companionship.”

Although Northup, who goes by the name of Danica Dillon not only on stage but in “adult and mainstream films,” consented to have sex with Josh, she claims in the lawsuit that he physically assaulted her to the point where she felt as if he was raping her.

“Once inside the plaintiff’s hotel room, Defendant manhandled Plaintiff and physically assaulted her to the point of causing her physical and emotional injuries. Indeed, Plaintiff felt as if she were being raped by the defendant. This was not part of any agreement and clearly exceeded the scope of any consent by the Plaintiff.”

In April 2015, Duggar allegedly visited another venue where Northup (Dillon) was working, the Creekside Cabaret in Pennsylvania. She claims that Josh tried to apologize and talked her into another private sexual encounter that led to the same “emotional and physical damages.” (See the court documents here)

Although TLC pulled the Duggar family’s long-running reality show 19 Kids and Counting off the air in July, they are now promoting a new series, Jill & Jessa: Counting On that airs in December.

To date, the Facebook group No More Duggars has managed to convince almost 800 companies and brands to boycott any show on TLC that involves the Duggar family, but the network has yet to pull the plug in the upcoming series.

Is the $ 500,000 lawsuit that claims Josh paid big money to have sex with a married woman who works as a stripper and porn star, along with the assault allegations, enough to get TLC to finally end their relationship with the Duggars?

The case has yet to go to court and Josh Duggar is not expected to appear in the Duggar girls’ show. However, the family’s holier-than-thou attitude vs. the scandals that continue to erupt is prompting even former 19 Kids and Counting fans to question why TLC continues to have a working relationship with Jim Bob Duggar and his family.

Do you think it’s time for TLC to put an end all Duggar-related shows or would you like to see the family remain on TV?
