Cleveland Cavaliers shooting guard Iman Shumpert has released a new song, “Glory,” following his cameo appearance at the end of Kanye West’s “Fade” video.

The track features spitfire trap percussion, swirling ominous synths as well as a vocal hook culled from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ “Heads Will Roll.”

Shumpert sounds at ease on the track, offering up a variety of flows and dropping primarily defiant lines (“But people want you to suffer/ Cause they ain’t ever been in your glory”), but also a few clever punch lines like the sing-songy, “I’m obnoxious and I know it/ I go King Joffrey and they know it/ Watch these people head roll.”

“Glory” isn’t Shumpert’s first foray into hip-hop and follows his six-track mixtape, Shumpman: The MD, which was released in January. In 2015, he released a remix of Drake’s “Hotline Bling,” a song about the downside of wealth and another before the Cavaliers’ playoff run. Shumpert is also engaged to Teyana Taylor, who starred in West’s “Fade” video and released her debut album, VII on the rapper’s G.O.O.D. Music label.
