In 2014, Selena Gomez released a flaw-free, should’ve-won-all-the-awards smash called “The Heart Wants What It Wants.” The gut-wrenching ballad taught us all to not be ashamed of our desires—and nobody follows this rule more than Gomez herself. The former Disney star is unapologetic about what she wants—let it be Happy Meals, full cheesecakes, or (wait for it) incorporating sneaky Taylor Swift cameos into her work. Yup.

If you didn’t realize it, Gomez keeps throwing her BFF’s face into all her projects. It first happened in Gomez’s latest music video, “Bad Liar.” A drawing of Swift’s Grammy-winning mug appears in the background of one of the scenes. And now Gomez has done it again with the Netflix series, 13 Reasons Why, which she executive-produced.

A crafty Swift fan (who goes by Scottish Swiftie on Tumblr) noticed that the cover of Tay’s multiplatinum album 1989 appears in the background of a shot in 13 Reasons Why’s tenth episode (Sheri’s tape). Focus in a little closer and you’ll see the context, too: It appears someone drew the album cover as a project for an art class, and the teacher put it on display in the hallway.

Check it out for yourself, below:

Serious question: Which 13 Reasons Why character is the super-fan who sketched a literal mural of 1989 for an art class? Did he/she listen to “Out of the Woods” on repeat while creating it? Is Swift’s “excluded from this narrative” monologue etched on the other side? Michelangelo is shook.

The painting is definitely a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment, but a fun nod to Swift nonetheless. It’s also a friendly reminder that 1989 is one of the catchiest pop albums of all time. If you forgot that little tidbit, though, you can listen to it—and all of Swift’s songs—on Spotify right now.
