Current-day Justin Bieber might be best known for his Instagram feuding or his rapidly rotating roster of female companions. But the singer just retweeted an ancient interview (you know, probably from 2010 or so) where we’re reminded that once upon a time, he was just a kid with a high-pitched voice and a dream.

“What kind of career would you like to have?” an E Talk host asks Baby Justin Bieber.

“I see myself doing more R&B, sort of like Usher or Justin [Timberlake] or an old Michael Jackson,” replies Baby Bieber, whose wardrobe was possibly styled by a rep from the Big & Tall Store.

Of course Bieber was signed to Raymond Braun Media Group, a joint venture between Scooter Braun and Usher—following a bidding war against one Justin Timberlake. And he reportedly recorded a song with Michael Jackson before the King of Pop’s death. That song, “Slave 2 The Rhythm,” was leaked on the Internet but then disappeared.
